MS Power Apps/Dynamics Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented MS Power Apps/Dynamics Software Engineer with solid business analysis skills to join our dynamic team, offering a part-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data structuring, business analysis, and solution architecture. Previous experience in commodity trading or crude oil brokerage is preferred, along with robust skills in software development, especially in JavaScript. 

Project Description: it is a leading provider of valuable data and consulting services in the North American crude market. Renowned for our reliability and transparency, we offer industry participants a wide range of services, including daily forward curve valuations, market commentary, pricing reports, and raw data at major trading locations. The client’s expertise extends to providing custom data solutions and consulting services, empowering clients with comprehensive insights for informed decision-making. 

Tech Stack:  JavaScript, SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), .NET 6, Entity Framework Core (EF Core), Swagger for API documentation, RESTful API for data delivery, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Dynamics 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on software development, data structuring, business analysis and solution architecture 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and/or Microsoft Dynamics 
• Experience in the development of plugins using JavaScript 
• Familiarity with SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), .NET 6, Entity Framework Core (EF Core), Swagger for API documentation, and RESTful API for data delivery 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment 

Nice to have: 

• Prior experience in commodity trading or crude oil brokerage 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions 
• Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Apps and/or Dynamics 
• Develop customer plugins using JavaScript 
• Conduct data analysis and create structured data models to support decision-making processes 
• Provide expertise in ABI development, solution architecture, and business process improvement
• Assist in the development and maintenance of customer plugins using JavaScript 
• Work closely with the development team to integrate solutions with existing systems and databases 
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in commodity trading and data analytics
